Hello! I’m Lucy.

I’m a multi-disciplinary artist based between Liverpool and London. I graduated with a Fine Art degree from Liverpool John Moores University in 2016; since then, I have been lucky enough to exhibit and sell my artwork all over the world. I currently work from a studio space overlooking Liverpool’s historic North Docks, where I paint along to music and podcasts – my happy place!

Inspiration.

I’m primarily a Painter with a focus on Portraiture. I love people and faces, and above all, I love bringing life to my painted characters through my brushstrokes. I have always been passionate about creating pieces that revolve around a sense of identity and the intricacies of life - particularly the untold stories reflected in  my subject’s eyes.

Experience.

Alongside creating one-off paintings for private customers, I specialise in artwork for TV and Film productions. Whether it be a series of pieces crafted as a prop, or canvases to adorn vacant walls on set, I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work tailored to specific briefs. With six years of experience as a Set Dresser, I am adept at working efficiently within strict and fluctuating deadlines.

Process.

My artistic process begins with a collaborative discussion with the client to fully understand their brief and vision. By listening and engaging with their creative insights, we establish a strong foundation for the artwork. Next, I immerse myself in studying the brief, drawing inspiration from various sources such as photographs and other visual references …then the fun bit starts!

Technique.

I predominantly work with acrylic paints, but I am happy to work in another medium should the client prefer. Acrylic allows me to layer the paint and play with texture and depth quickly, whilst working with both precision and spontaneity. I have recently ventured into the realm of digital art, crafting intricate visuals using software such as Procreate. This method enables me to generate multiple prints promptly upon request. I can either send directly to the client for them to print, or alternatively, I handle the printing and framing process for an additional fee.

Whether it be a thoughtful present for a loved one, a unique addition to your living space, or an addition to a set, please do not hesitate to contact me for further assistance.
